My name is Anna Strawn and I am a Senior at Auburn University. I will graduate in the Fall of 2019 with a degree in Communication and a minor in Leadership. I grew up in a small town just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. I have two wonderful and loving parents that have supported me in all of my endeavors as well as two older sisters that have been such incredible role models as I have grown up. I have a passion for travel, staying active and serving others is something I work hard to fit into my schedule. I have really enjoyed combining travel with serving others when I have taken mission trips to Mexico and Guatemala. I have found that lifting up and encouraging others to be their best selves has helped me become the best version of myself. Travel has taught me how to adapt to different cultures and thankfully, my family has been a huge part of my travels and  I am very thankful for the opportunities to travel with them. Growing up with family as an important part of my life has pushed me to value the importance of continuing the legacy of working for our family business which you will hear more about throughout my ePortfolio. 

 

I moved to Auburn in 2016 to start my Freshman year of college and I knew I was gaining the opportunity of a lifetime to grow and learn as an individual. During my time on The Plains, I have had the privilege of serving as a member of my church in many different capacities - from host team to production team as well as a community group leader in a weekly Bible study since the Fall of 2018. I have also had the privilege of working remotely for an insurance agency located in Atlanta and in the Fall of 2019, I received an intern position working for the Auburn University Office of University Writing working for the ePortfolio Project. These serving opportunities, as well as my job roles, have taught me intentionality, responsibility, and time management. I came into college as an incredibly disciplined person, but gaining skills outside of "getting the job done" has been so good for me. I hope this has given you a small glimpse into who I am, but I encourage you to explore the rest of my ePortoflio to learn more about myself, my jobs, as well as my involvement.
